Data Processing

  • All OCR scanning, including camera captures, gallery imports, and screenshot extractions, occurs locally on your Android device.
  • No user data is collected for analytics, advertising, or third-party sharing. Anonymous crash reports may be sent via Google Play Services only if enabled by you.
  • Extracted text is not saved by the app; it is available only in your device's clipboard or local storage as per your settings.

Acceptable Use

  • You agree not to use Snap2Text for any unlawful activities, including extracting text from copyrighted material without permission.
  • You agree not to interfere with the app's on-device processing or attempt to reverse-engineer the OCR features.
  • Respect privacy: Do not scan or extract text from images containing sensitive personal information without consent.

Content Rights

  • You retain full ownership of any images, screenshots, or extracted text generated using Snap2Text.
  • Snap2Text does not claim any rights over your content; all processing is local and ephemeral.
  • By using the app, you grant us a limited license only for on-device computation, with no distribution or storage.

Third-Party Services

  • Snap2Text integrates Google ML Kit for OCR, which processes data solely on-device without sending to Google servers.
  • No other third-party SDKs collect data; the app is lightweight and ad-free in its free version.
